Senior DevOps Engineer, SRE Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate across teams to assist in addressing reliability, performance, and architectural challenges.

• Proactively identify bottlenecks and take measures to prevent production incidents.

• Create internal tools, services, and command-line interfaces (CLIs) to simplify the complexities of cloud, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Apps.

• Design and refine Golden Paths for secure, scalable, and self-service deployment solutions.

• Implement and enhance Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Error Budgets, and observability.

• Address critical incidents by conducting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and establishing preventive measures.

• Design and sustain GitOps pipelines along with promotion strategies across various environments.

• Develop and standardize reusable Helm charts.

• Implement sophisticated deployment strategies, such as Canary Releases and Blue/Green deployments.

• Advance pipelines and automation using GitHub Actions at an enterprise level.

• Provision and standardize infrastructure utilizing Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement throughout teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Azure, encompassing APIM, Azure Container Apps, Networking, Storage, and Databases.

• Experience with Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem.

• Practical experience with GitOps, Helm charts, and contemporary deployment strategies.

• Proficient in Terraform, including modularization, versioning, and module reuse.

• Expertise in GitHub Actions, API-driven automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting through logs, metrics, and tracing.

• Familiarity with SRE practices such as SLIs, SLAs, SLOs, Error Budgets, and incident management.

• Strong programming background in Python or similar languages.

• Experience in infrastructure automation and the development of self-service platforms.

• Ability to provide consultative insights and influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and internal engineering platforms is a plus.

• Knowledge of Service Mesh and advanced traffic management techniques is a plus.

• Experience in Platform Engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud security and governance is a plus.

• Experience in high-scale, high-criticality environments is a plus.
