Senior DevOps Engineer, Ruby

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Oversee a sophisticated backend that processes over 350 million web server requests per day.

• Manage, innovate, and modernize our collection of API, process, and database servers within the AWS cloud environment.

• Implement Terraform architecture to ensure consistency in cloud infrastructure.

• Develop a contemporary API application utilizing functional architecture in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, or Sinatra.

• Create maintainable and thoroughly tested code employing RSpec with TDD and BDD methodologies.

• Possess a deep understanding of advanced architectural patterns that extend beyond the conventional MVC of Rails.

• Collaborate with, mentor, and provide guidance to a distributed team of developers.

• Coordinate with paired working hours of their team across respective regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Timezone stipulations: EU-based candidates must be available from 11am to 8pm CET (Winter) or 12pm to 9pm CET (Summer).

• Brasil-based candidates must be available from 8am to 5pm EST.

• North America-based candidates must be available from 8am to 5pm EST.

• Must be available for collaboration between 9am and 1pm EST.

• Experience working within remote, global teams is essential.

• Enthusiasm for and openness to pair programming.

• Willingness to learn programming languages outside of current server expertise (Swift, Kotlin, Python, or JavaScript).

• Senior-level proficiency with Docker, K8s, SQL, Linux, and AWS is required.

• Ability to fully comprehend and assess AI-generated code.
