This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect requirements and devise solutions that align with engineering standards while addressing business needs.
• Design, deploy, and oversee Red Hat OpenShift clusters in both physical and virtualized on-premises environments.
• Assume responsibility for systems engineering projects pertaining to OpenShift infrastructure.
• Work in conjunction with development teams to containerize applications and enhance deployment and release workflows.
• Construct and uphold CI/CD pipelines utilizing OpenShift and related DevOps tools.
• Automate operational and deployment tasks through Ansible and other scripting tools.
• Execute patching and upgrades of OpenShift clusters, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, and associated components in accordance with change management protocols.
• Design, implement, and sustain backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies.
• Take part in on-call/standby rotation to provide support for critical platform and infrastructure services.
• Assist with daily operations, which includes trend analysis, root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving platform issues.
• Establish and uphold security best practices, incorporating RBAC, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.
• Enhance alerting, monitoring, and observability capabilities throughout OpenShift and related systems.
• Create and maintain current documentation, such as architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and runbooks.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training for colleagues on OpenShift, GitLab, and related infrastructure technologies.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent certifications, including Red Hat OpenShift.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in deploying, operating, and maintaining OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms in enterprise or on-premise settings.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
• Strong foundation in Linux system administration, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Practical experience in infrastructure automation using Ansible or similar tools.
• Proficient scripting skills in Bash and/or Python for automation and operational tasks.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
