Senior DevOps Engineer – Multi-cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain automated build processes and scripts for projects utilizing Node.js, Python, Java, Flutter, React, and Angular.

• Develop and oversee containerization workflows leveraging Docker, including multi-stage builds, optimized images, and adherence to security best practices.

• Architect and manage deployments based on Kubernetes across diverse cloud vendors (Azure, GCP, AWS).

• Construct and uphold CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, and other pertinent tools.

• Execute GitOps workflows employing platforms like ArgoCD or Flux, ensuring declarative infrastructure and automated delivery mechanisms.

• Create and sustain infrastructure-as-code templates using Terraform or other HashiCorp tools.

• Automate deployment processes, environment provisioning, configuration management, and release workflows.

• Guarantee that observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting are implemented and consistently enhanced.

• Collaborate closely with development teams to refine CI/CD workflows, establish build standards, and devise deployment strategies.

• Improve system reliability, scalability, and security across all environments.

• Maintain cloud-native environments while ensuring adherence to best practices for cost management, performance, and resilience.

• Assist in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for issues related to deployments and environments.

• Offer guidance and mentorship to development teams concerning DevOps practices, deployment patterns, and cloud-native architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software engineering or system operations roles.

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.

• Strong expertise in Docker, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud-native deployment models.

• Proven track record in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, CircleCI, or similar tools.

• Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and configuration templating.

• In-depth understanding of GitOps principles and experience in executing GitOps workflows.

• Solid experience in automating builds and deployments for applications based on Node.js, Python, Java, React, Angular, and Flutter.

• Hands-on experience with at least two major cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS); familiarity with OpenAI services is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, secrets management, and cloud security posture management.

• Experience in implementing monitoring and observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation tasks.

• Strong comprehension of version control concepts, branching strategies, and release management.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to work within complex, multi-service distributed systems.

• Strong communication skills along with a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
