Senior DevOps Engineer, Java Software Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• In your role as a consultant, you will apply your practical expertise directly to projects and achieve exceptional outcomes.

• As a DevOps specialist, your skills are unparalleled, and you will passionately support the entire development lifecycle for our clients.

• You have a strong enthusiasm for automation and will immediately implement automated build, test, and deployment processes.

• Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, you will efficiently and reliably automate infrastructure management.

• You will diligently monitor our clients' on-premises or cloud infrastructure, continuously seeking optimization opportunities.

• Your commitment to alerting, monitoring, and tracing ensures the smooth operation of systems.

• Collaboration is key; your teamwork with developers and testers in agile cross-functional teams using Scrum or Kanban is vital.

• Your proactive and independent work style guarantees the effective operation of developed applications.

• You will confidently and skillfully communicate the operational perspective to development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders, making a significant impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a minimum of three years of experience in the DevOps arena and have a background in software development.

• A degree in IT or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience is required.

• You are experienced with the following technologies and domains: Java, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Linux, Docker, and SRE.

• Strong expertise in developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, as well as creating and deploying Java and web applications, is essential.

• Familiarity with microservice architectures and API design (REST, messaging) is expected.

• A foundational understanding of network infrastructures (routing, load balancing, DNS) is necessary.

• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams is highly advantageous.

• You are an effective communicator, approachable with both your teammates and clients, and find joy in consulting work.

• Proficiency in German and a good command of English are required.
