Senior DevOps Engineer, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee DevOps processes and tools on the Google Cloud Platform.

• Establish and configure GCP services for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation.

• Manage source code repositories utilizing Git, and implement strategies for branching and merging.

• Ensure adherence to best practices in code versioning.

• Build and sustain CI/CD pipelines using GCP tools such as Cloud Build.

• Develop and optimize deployment strategies for applications hosted on GCP.

• Implement and manage infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.

• Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure.

• Implement containerization solutions using Docker.

• Orchestrate containers through Kubernetes on GCP.

• Establish monitoring and logging solutions using GCP Stackdriver or similar tools.

• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot issues.

• Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure a smooth integration and delivery process.

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Implement and uphold security best practices within the DevOps pipeline.

• Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer with a specialization in Google Cloud Platform.

• Demonstrated expertise in GCP services and tools.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation techniques.

• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of networking, security, and cloud best practices.

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
