Senior DevOps Engineer – Consultant, Infrastructure, Network & Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Automation of network and security configurations (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.)

• Establishment, maintenance, and further development of DevOps infrastructures

• Configuration, deployment, and scaling of containers and microservices in a containerized environment using Docker & Kubernetes

• Implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible, Terraform, and similar technologies

• Automation of build, test, and deployment processes (CI/CD) through the use of appropriate tools and scripts

• Consulting in the area of network and security automation as well as compliance

• Analysis and troubleshooting of systems and logs, including ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)

• Development and maintenance of documentation, SOPs, and technical concepts

• Contribution to agile work processes (SCRUM, Kanban)

• Advising clients on new technologies and their implementation

• Design and architecture of complex IT environments

• (Partial) project management and technical responsibility

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in the field of DevOps / IT automation, networking, and security

• Understanding of networking and security at the CCNA level is essential (routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, etc.)

• Knowledge of network protocols and architectures

• Experience with IT security/firewalls

• Programming skills: preferably in Python

• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Configuration management / orchestration with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Git, CI/CD platforms, Consul, IaC

• Knowledge in networking (e.g., Netconf / Restconf, YANG, REST APIs, RPC)

• Familiarity with data formats such as YAML, JSON, XML

• Tools like Postman or Swagger are well-known to you

• Proficient in German (at least C1) and English (at least B1/B2)
