This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design, implement, and manage cloud-native infrastructure across GCP, AWS, or Azure utilizing Terraform.
• Assume complete responsibility for MongoDB Atlas in a production environment, which includes:
• - Cluster architecture and scaling
• - Replication and high availability
• - Backup and disaster recovery strategies
• - Performance tuning and query optimization
• - Security and access control
• Architect and oversee containerized and serverless workloads (e.g., Cloud Run, ECS, Kubernetes, or similar).
• Design and manage event-driven systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, or similar).
• Construct and sustain CI/CD pipelines, emphasizing automation, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) modules and manage setups across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture, scalability, and performance enhancement.
• Implement effective monitoring, alerting, and observability across distributed systems.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct root cause analysis, facilitating long-term improvements.
• Own all infrastructure decisions from start to finish, including architecture, cost optimization, and performance.
• Document systems, create runbooks, and establish best practices.
• Mentor engineers and advocate for DevOps best practices throughout the organization.
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps / Infrastructure Engineering within production environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: GCP, AWS, or Azure using Terraform.
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform (modularization, remote state, multi-environment setups).
• Demonstrated experience in designing and operating scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Required: In-depth MongoDB Atlas experience in production, encompassing:
• - Cluster configuration and scaling
• - Replication and failover
• - Backup and recovery strategies
• - Performance tuning and indexing
• - Security and access management
• Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability in distributed systems.
• Ability to operate at an architect/owner level, not just performing tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work in a remote, async-first team.
