Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Construct and oversee AWS infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to ensure both scalability and maintainability.

• Administer and expand Kubernetes (EKS) clusters to achieve high availability and fault tolerance.

• Provision, manage, and upgrade AWS services, incorporating RDS, networking, compute, and storage components.

• Design, execute, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to boost deployment speed and reliability.

• Supervise and sustain GitLab infrastructure and engineering workflows.

• Collaborate with security and legal teams to facilitate compliance initiatives such as SOC 2 and GDPR.

• Monitor infrastructure performance utilizing tools like Grafana, CloudWatch, and other observability platforms.

• Establish robust alerting, monitoring, and incident response processes.

• Lead incident resolution and conduct root cause analysis to ensure the implementation of long-term fixes.

• Engage in architecture design, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and infrastructure standards.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cultivating a high-performing DevOps culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.

• Extensive experience with AWS, particularly in multi-region environments.

• Practical expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration.

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability systems.

• Experience with GitLab or comparable DevOps platforms.

• Familiarity with IAM, VPC design, networking, and cloud security best practices.

• Experience in regulated or compliance-focused environments.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
