Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Construct and oversee AWS infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to guarantee scalability and maintainability.

• Administer and expand Kubernetes (EKS) clusters to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.

• Provision, sustain, and enhance AWS services such as RDS, networking, compute, and storage components.

• Design, execute, and refine CI/CD pipelines to boost deployment speed and reliability.

• Supervise and maintain GitLab infrastructure and engineering workflows.

• Collaborate with security and legal teams to facilitate compliance initiatives (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).

• Monitor infrastructure performance using tools like Grafana, CloudWatch, and other observability platforms.

• Establish robust alerting, monitoring, and incident response processes.

• Lead incident resolution and conduct root cause analysis, ensuring the implementation of long-term solutions.

• Engage in architecture design, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Generate and uphold documentation, runbooks, and infrastructure standards.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to fostering a high-performing DevOps culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering positions.

• Extensive experience with AWS, particularly in multi-region settings.

• Practical expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Profound understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration.

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong grasp of monitoring, logging, and observability systems.

• Familiarity with GitLab or comparable DevOps platforms.

• Knowledge of IAM, VPC design, networking, and best practices in cloud security.

• Experience in regulated or compliance-focused environments.

• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to manage production incidents.

• Excellent communication abilities and capacity for cross-functional collaboration.
