Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment.

• Oversee and enhance cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform is preferred).

• Create and maintain containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Establish and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

• Enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance, ensuring high availability and compliance with SLAs.

• Automate operational processes to minimize manual intervention (toil reduction).

• Manage database infrastructure, including backups, replication, scaling, and disaster recovery.

• Implement security best practices (IAM, secrets management, network policies, vulnerability scanning).

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance developer experience (local setups, CI/CD efficiency, debugging tools).

• Engage in on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortem analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 - 7 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure-related position.

• Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Extensive experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS/Fargate).

• Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform is preferred).

• Experience in constructing and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, CDNs).

• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux systems administration and scripting (Bash or similar).

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.

• Knowledge of database operations (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Solid understanding of security principles (TLS, IAM, secrets management, compliance basics).
