Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational reliability for a high-traffic SaaS platform.

• Oversee a Kubernetes-based microservices architecture that supports multiple web applications, APIs, and asynchronous workloads.

• Design and manage VPCs, load balancers, and cloud architectures across multiple environments.

• Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot various workloads including Deployments, StatefulSets, and DaemonSets.

• Compose and refine Dockerfiles while managing image registries.

• Develop dashboards, establish alert rules, and integrate with notification channels.

• Grasp strategies for log collection, transformation, indexing, and retention.

• Provide support for MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ in a production setting.

• Ensure the security of internal tools and manage TLS/SSL certificates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with AWS, covering compute, networking, storage, IAM, and managed database services.

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production environment.

• Proficient in Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Solid expertise in Docker.

• Experience in building and maintaining automated build, test, and deployment pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with centralized logging pipelines using tools like the ELK stack.

• Working knowledge of managing and supporting MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ.

• Understanding of cloud networking principles.

• Proficiency in Bash and/or Python for operational automation.
