Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, manage, and support Core Banking systems and services across various environments (DEV/UAT/PROD).

• Automate operational and deployment tasks using Rundeck and Ansible (job orchestration, playbooks/roles, inventories, and secure credential management).

• Develop and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and standard documentation to facilitate repeatable and auditable executions.

• Provide production support and engage in incident response, including triage, remediation, and post-incident analysis (RCA/problem management).

• Monitor system health and performance; implement proactive enhancements to availability, resilience, and capacity.

• Oversee configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of operating systems, middleware, and application components, ensuring adherence to internal controls.

• Coordinate the management, renewal, and deployment of digital certificates (e.g., TLS/SSL), including inventory management, expiry monitoring, change planning, validation, and documentation to avoid service disruption.

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure teams, and vendors to diagnose complex end-to-end issues and ensure prompt resolution.

• Facilitate change management by planning, testing, documenting, and executing changes with risk assessment and appropriate approvals.

• Contribute to the enhancement of CI/CD and release practices (version control, artifact management, environment consistency), where applicable.

• Implement security best practices, including hardening, access control, secrets management, and auditability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Financial Institutions; familiarity with the Brazilian financial market and core banking products/processes.

• Hands-on DevOps/automation experience with Rundeck and Ansible.

• Proficient in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and operational tooling.

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and patch management.

• Experience in supporting applications and middleware (e.g., web/app servers, batch scheduling, file transfer).

• Familiarity with enterprise tools/technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, Control-M, MQ, ServiceNow, Splunk, Jira, Nexus, LDAP/AD.

• Practical knowledge of certificate management (inventory, renewal/rotation planning, deployment, and post-change validation).

• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and Git-based workflows/deployment pipelines.

• Strong communication skills with stakeholders; ability to collaborate with global/local vendors and internal teams.

• Advanced English proficiency.

• Desirable: Experience with SAFe; exposure to GCP; experience with migration/modernization initiatives; Spanish language skills.
