Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Provide support, operate, and troubleshoot applications in live (production) environments.

• Monitor the performance of applications and systems to ensure they remain highly available and reliable.

• Analyze logs to proactively identify and resolve any issues that arise.

• Automate operational tasks utilizing Shell/Bash scripting.

• Work in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to address incidents and enhance system performance.

• Implement and maintain solutions for monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• Assist with CI/CD pipelines and practices related to test automation.

• Deploy, manage, and optimize applications that are containerized.

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in application support and operations within production environments.

• Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu).

• Proficient in Shell/Bash scripting for the purpose of task automation.

• Strong understanding of the principles of logging and performance monitoring.

• Experience in test automation practices.

• Practical experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
