Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable cloud infrastructure.

• Automate the deployment, scaling, and monitoring of systems within that infrastructure.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to establish and execute CI/CD pipelines.

• Construct and manage containerized applications.

• Provision and assist in the configuration of relational databases, focusing on high availability, security, and reliability.

• Monitor, diagnose, and enhance system performance and reliability.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of robust disaster recovery and backup strategies.

• Manage developer tools effectively.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and security standards.

• (Optionally) Develop and maintain full stack Java-based applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure.

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or development.

• Over 2 years of experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Must be a U.S. citizen with the capability to obtain the necessary security clearance as mandated by government contracts.

• Proficiency with containers and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes / Helm / Docker).

• Experience in designing and deploying solutions within cloud environments (AWS).

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform or similar).

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools (GitHub, BitBucket, Azure DevOps).

• Knowledge of Distributed Version Control Systems (DVCS) tools (Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Azure DevOps).

• Expertise in RDBMS systems, including managing schema evolution, migration, replication, and disaster recovery (MySQL or similar).

• Experience with Linux, including scripting in Bash.
