Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Ensuring the smooth operation of our web applications and services by identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they escalate into issues.

• Enhancing performance and cost efficiency across our systems by utilizing the latest tools and methodologies instead of settling for mediocrity.

• Expanding our infrastructure to adequately accommodate a consistently growing global user base.

• Streamlining our deployment and release processes, making the code shipping experience feel swift, secure, and uneventful (in the most positive sense).

• Assisting product teams in establishing and refining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, allowing them to progress at their own pace.

• Collaborating closely with development teams, ensuring you are part of a collective effort rather than operating in isolation.

• Engaging daily with an international group of engineers who contribute diverse perspectives and work across various time zones.

• Within your first 3 months, becoming the go-to resource for infrastructure support and taking responsibility for key maintenance tasks.

• By the sixth month, being fully integrated and prepared to participate in the on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience managing large-scale, distributed systems in a production environment.

• Advanced Linux administration skills, including expertise in storage and networking.

• Practical experience with AWS, along with comfort in traditional data center settings.

• Demonstrated ability to deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes and Docker.

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Strong practical understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery principles.

• Experience providing infrastructure services across multiple countries.
