DevOps Engineer, Cloud Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and manage a fleet of Kubernetes (EKS) clusters across production, staging, and ephemeral environments, ensuring robustness and high availability.

• Advance AWS infrastructure and network architecture (VPCs, subnets, IAM, account structure) to accommodate scalable, multi-team workloads.

• Develop and sustain infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows utilizing tools such as Terraform, CDK, and ArgoCD.

• Enhance platform reliability and performance by establishing and promoting SLOs, analyzing incidents, and executing systemic solutions.

• Engage in and improve the on-call rotation, leading incident responses and post-incident reviews to foster systemic improvements in the platform.

• Collaborate with SRE, Delivery, InfoSec, and product/ML teams to implement impactful infrastructure changes and platform standards.

• Propel enhancements in developer experience by streamlining platform usage, minimizing toil, and facilitating quicker product and ML development.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at cost efficiency by optimizing resource utilization across Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) along with 3+ years of professional experience.

• Over 3 years of experience managing Kubernetes in production settings, covering cluster networking, storage, and RBAC.

• Proficient in AWS infrastructure, including VPC design, networking, and IAM.

• Demonstrated expertise in implementing infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.

• Experience in executing GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD or similar.

• Capacity to influence technical decisions across teams and promote the adoption of platform standards.
