Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop automation tools that ensure our internal and external customers receive resources promptly and effortlessly, while also simplifying our team's workflow.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to provide a high-quality product to our customers that fulfills all their requirements.

• Strive for a minimum of 99.9% uptime across all managed customers.

• Engage in several key projects, including automating aspects of our infrastructure, creating new monitors and alerts, and developing new tools for both team and company use.

• Take the lead on Lucidworks’ organization-wide cloud-first initiative by ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional DevOps experience in a PaaS or SaaS environment.

• Proficient in containerization and container orchestration, with a minimum of 1 year of Kubernetes experience required.

• Skilled in managing JVM-based applications at scale, including garbage collection analysis and heap tuning.

• Experienced in managing large-scale distributed systems; capable of maintaining hundreds to thousands of instances across various cloud environments.

• Act as the first line of defense for our customers as part of the on-call rotation.

• Familiarity with developing SaaS infrastructure and the SaaS deployment model.

• Willing to participate in the on-call rotation, serving as the first point of contact for our customers.

• Background check must be acceptable.
