Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based cloud platforms while adhering to best practices for high availability, fault tolerance, and security.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code utilizing tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Continuously enhance platform performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Strengthen resilience and reliability within distributed systems.

• Create and uphold modern CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Harness, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.

• Propel the automation of infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.

• Advocate for the integration of AI-powered tools to improve pipeline optimization, intelligent testing, incident detection, and operational insights.

• Establish and refine monitoring, alerting, and logging mechanisms.

• Conduct advanced troubleshooting across cloud and production settings.

• Engage in an on-call rotation to support critical systems.

• Lead technical projects from design through implementation and ongoing operational support.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 2 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and artifact management tools (GitHub, GitLab, Harness, Artifactory, CodePipeline, etc.).

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering roles.

• Strong knowledge of AWS services and Linux-based environments.

• Proficient in Python or similar scripting languages.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, system architecture, and networking principles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
