Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and oversee comprehensive CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, particularly emphasizing SAP platforms.

• Create, standardize, and document reusable templates and components for CI/CD pipelines.

• Automate deployment, release, and remediation processes that are currently manual.

• Implement and uphold DevSecOps best practices, ensuring security, quality, and compliance checks are integrated within pipelines.

• Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to facilitate operations in both on-prem (VMware) and cloud (GCP / Kubernetes) environments.

• Aid in defining and promoting the adoption of DevOps standards and best practices throughout the organization.

• Foster knowledge sharing and provide technical guidance within the DevOps team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, focusing on pipeline design, implementation, and optimization.

• Demonstrated experience with SAP environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.

• Proficient in creating and maintaining reusable CI/CD templates, blueprints, or shared components.

• Strong understanding of VMware-based on-premises infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and GCP is a considerable advantage.

• Strong grasp of DevOps / DevSecOps practices and automation tools.

• Excellent documentation skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
