Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance our AWS EC2 and EKS clusters to guarantee optimal performance and high availability.

• Spearhead the investigation of production outages, ensuring prompt resolution and in-depth root cause analysis.

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve inquiries, offer support, and disseminate best practices related to deployment and operations.

• Communicate effectively with Directors and other stakeholders, relaying updates on cluster status, incidents, and ongoing enhancements.

• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions to streamline the deployment workflow.

• Generate and sustain thorough documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in DevOps/SRE positions with a robust emphasis on AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.

• Proficient in various AWS services (EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, Load Balancers, etc.).

• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes architecture and its operational facets.

• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI/CD tools.

• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch or NewRelic).

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).

• Proficient in using Helm charts (both public and custom versions).

• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive stance on problem resolution.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.

• Ability to collaborate effectively while managing multiple priorities.

• Familiarity with GitOps tools (Flux or ArgoCD).

• Understanding of AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code.

• Basic knowledge of Java applications.
