Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, execute, and oversee scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.

• Lead and facilitate the migration of on-premises systems to a cloud-native, serverless architecture.

• Construct and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Bitbucket Pipelines while automating deployment processes.

• Provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform, ensuring infrastructure is versioned, reproducible, and consistent across various environments.

• Contribute to the transition from traditional DevOps practices towards platform engineering by developing internal tools to support development teams.

• Establish monitoring systems to ensure reliability and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Collaborate effectively with development, security, and operations teams, ensuring clear and timely communication.

• Implement security best practices, conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, and assist in maintaining platform compliance with industry standards.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure, processes, and tools.

• Share expertise and mentor junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on DevOps experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in a DevOps position within software organizations.

• Demonstrated experience with AWS services and cloud migration initiatives.

• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD tools, particularly Bitbucket Pipelines.

• Strong expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.

• In-depth understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

• Exceptional communication skills and the capacity to respond promptly and remain connected with the team throughout the workday.

• Ability to produce clear, easy-to-understand documentation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to working independently.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.

• Nice to have: experience with MLOps or DataOps, including ML or data pipelines, model deployment, or data platform automation.

• Nice to have: AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
