This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.
• Ensure the efficiency and dependability of mission-critical trading infrastructure by proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks across all layers: compute, network, storage, and application.
• Support, operate, and continuously enhance highly available, low-latency systems under global trading loads, with a strong emphasis on automation and enabling self-service for internal teams.
• Engage in a daytime rotational on-call schedule, managing real-time operational incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term preventive measures.
• Utilize metrics and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) to identify anomalies, monitor performance patterns, and assist in incident response.
• Construct, manage, and scale infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Collaborate closely with trading, engineering, and security teams to ensure infrastructure enhancements align with application requirements.
• Implement robust security practices, including IAM, threat detection, and secure CI/CD pipelines, to support high-trust production environments.
• Employ low-level optimization strategies to enhance throughput, decrease latency, and boost system efficiency across various environments.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, traders, and other personnel to achieve the firm’s objectives.
• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles concentrating on high-performance, production-grade systems.
• Proficient in Linux administration and experienced in managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise with containerized workloads (Kubernetes is essential).
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash; knowledge of Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript is advantageous.
• Practical experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and production incident response.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (essential), as well as Google Cloud and Azure (desirable).
• Familiarity with automation and IaC tools; Ansible and Terraform are essential.
• Understanding of performance engineering at both the system and network levels, including tuning, profiling, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security best practices, IAM, and SIEM tools.
• While not mandatory, experience in or a strong interest in cryptocurrency and finance is preferred.
