Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Head of Platform and Head of SRE to pinpoint enhancements within the platform infrastructure and implement strategies to address them.

• Partner with the Platform teams to elevate the maturity of all system components, ensuring High Availability, effective testing, and disaster recovery plans.

• Contribute to the advancement of our CI/CD pipelines and establish deployment patterns.

• Support incident response and resolution efforts, followed by conducting post-mortems and retrospectives.

• Engage in tech talks and team-based learning initiatives to facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Maintain thorough documentation, utilizing Playbooks/Runbooks and system documentation to promote knowledge transfer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in DevOps Engineering and managing a large-scale platform.

• Extensive knowledge of distributed cloud systems, particularly Amazon Web Services.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and others.

• Understanding of relational database technologies and their cloud counterparts (e.g., AWS Aurora).

• Experience with messaging systems and distributed asynchronous workloads.

• Familiarity with nginx or similar technologies.

• Experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, or equivalent.

• A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.

• A collaborative team member, eager to assist others when necessary, with a driven personality who actively engages in discussions and asks questions.

• Proficient in written and spoken English to effectively present ideas.
