DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee and maintain our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment

• Design, implement, and enhance infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness

• Manage networking, compute resources, databases, storage, and cloud services

• Monitor system health and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks

• Develop and sustain centralized logging and monitoring solutions

• Create dashboards and alerts for system health, application performance, and crucial business workflows

• Set operational metrics and usage tracking throughout the platform

• Lead incident response and root cause analysis initiatives

• Implement and uphold security best practices across infrastructure and applications

• Manage identity and access controls, secrets management, and environmental security

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability remediation

• Support compliance initiatives and ensure audit readiness

• Enhance deployment pipelines and release processes

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows

• Improve development environments and deployment reliability

• Boost uptime, resiliency, backup strategies, and disaster recovery processes

• Establish service-level objectives and operational standards

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams to support company objectives

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related field

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• In-depth understanding of infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems

• Familiarity with cloud security best practices

• Experience managing production environments and responding to incidents

• Proficient Linux administration skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Capability to work independently in a fully remote setting
