This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Engage in the development, maintenance, and advancement of systems within a mainframe environment, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of essential business applications.
• Suggest methods and solutions to enhance processing times and boost the efficiency of resource utilization on high-end platforms.
• Design and maintain COBOL systems, both online and in batch mode.
• Offer production support and manage critical incidents.
• Evaluate requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Maintain system stability and performance.
• Take part in deployments and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Assist in testing and technical validations.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Profound knowledge of the following tools: COBOL; batch and online processing; CICS; VSAM; DB2; JCL; TSO/ISPF; FTP.
• Familiarity with mainframe utilities (such as SORT, IDCAMS, File Manager, etc.).
• Understanding of processing flows (CA-ESP).
• Knowledge of utilities (e.g., SORT).
• Experience in complex environments.
• Proven experience in analyzing processes, programs, processing flows, and infrastructure.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
• Technical expertise in:
• Batch performance tuning;
• Dump analysis and troubleshooting;
• Mainframe integration with APIs/microservices;
• Version control (Endevor, Changeman, hybrid Git);
• Messaging;
• High-volume processing;
• Security and auditing;
• Legacy systems architecture.
