This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Conduct thorough discovery and user research for QIMA’s varied global clientele.
• Develop functional, interactive, and where applicable, code-supported prototypes for engineering teams.
• Utilize prototypes and data to clarify uncertainties and expedite project delivery.
• Establish a high benchmark for client digital engagement, usability, attention to detail, and reduction of friction.
• Cultivate an understanding of QIMA’s divisions, business environment, revenue catalysts, and growth limitations.
• Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, operations, finance, engineering, and cross-divisional partners.
• Create experiences tailored for both casual users and expert users with intensive engagement.
• Design a versatile client digital experience that can scale across various divisions and services.
• Deconstruct complex challenges into incremental roadmap steps and identify clear delivery obstacles.
• Establish and monitor client-experience metrics, including portal usage, task completion rates, time-to-insight, and retention indicators.
• Leverage data to inform prioritization and link design efforts to business results.
• Integrate AI into discovery, delivery, prototyping, and broader design-team processes.
• Generally, around 7 years of substantial experience in UX research, product design, or relevant fields.
• Proven ownership of intricate, multi-stakeholder design challenges from discovery to functional prototype.
• Portfolio showcasing working prototypes rather than just polished visuals.
• Experience where prototypes have directly influenced engineering choices or facilitated builds.
• Evidenced UX craftsmanship comparable to leading consumer and enterprise applications.
• Experience in high-growth or scale-up environments, including the pace of startups and design for scalability.
• High level of agency, ownership, initiative, and accountability for results.
• Proactive approach with an iterative prototype-test-learn-adjust mentality.
• Proficiency with interactive Figma features, no-code or low-code prototyping tools, or foundational front-end coding.
• Analytical skills to utilize incomplete data in support of design decisions.
• Practical experience in client interviews, data collection, and the entire design process.
• Demonstrated advanced practices in AI-augmented design and daily engagement with AI tools.
• Full professional fluency in English with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Open to candidates based anywhere in Europe.
• Preference for candidates in Paris or London; hybrid work applies there, while applicants from other European locations are encouraged to apply.
