This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Rapidly prototype AI-driven concepts in code. Transform ideas from Figma or an LLM conversation into high-quality production-ready React code within days, taking charge of layout, interaction, motion, accessibility, and performance;
• Deliver production-quality Growth surfaces. Manage essential surfaces from start to finish: layout, interaction, motion, accessibility, and performance;
• Uphold the quality standard. As AI enhances baseline execution, your responsibility is to elevate the standard — the judgment, aesthetic, and interaction finesse that AI cannot provide. Establish the definition of “good” in AI-driven shipping through reviews, examples, and reusable patterns for others to utilize;
• Enhance our AI-supported tools and processes. Refine our methodologies, patterns, and prompt libraries so that the rest of the team can keep pace with you;
• Set the quality benchmark for AI-assisted outputs. Collaborate with design leadership to clarify the standards of ‘good’ in AI shipping through reviews, examples, and reusable patterns for others to leverage;
• Pave the way for the Design Engineer role at PandaDoc. Take ownership of projects from inception to launch, and influence how this position evolves as the first hire in this capacity;
• Evaluate your impact in two ways: by what you produce and by how much quicker the team is able to deliver because of your contributions.
• Extensive experience in both design and front-end development, with a portfolio showcasing shipped interfaces or widely-used components;
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and at least one animation library (such as Framer Motion, React Spring, or similar);
• Regular, informed use of Cursor and Claude Code in your daily tasks, with a distinct perspective on achieving production-quality results;
• A keen eye for design and engineering workflows — you can identify inefficiencies within the team and create the tools, patterns, or processes that resolve them;
• Confidence in building from the ground up, with the discernment to set a course when no template exists.
• Competitive salary. For candidates located in Poland, the salary range is 31,000-40,000 PLN per month.
