Senior Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Implements engineering best practices along with Flowserve standards, assesses new standards, and identifies any gaps.

• Develops 3D models for engineered products.

• Provides support to internal teams including customer service, sales, engineering, and manufacturing.

• Utilizes programs and methods to address problems, while also modifying existing product designs to cater to customer requirements and enhance product longevity.

• Collaborates with other Design Engineers to quickly investigate and resolve issues.

• Reads and interprets machine drawings and Bills of Materials.

• Produces 3D models from mechanical drawings.

• Creates parametric 3D CAD models and assembly drawings.

• Interprets and generates 3D models based on hydraulic drawings of impellers.

• Interprets and produces 3D models based on hydraulic drawings of bowl casings and pump volutes, API classifications: OH, BB1, BB2, BB3 as a minimum.

• Organizes and maintains the electronic document management system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience.

• Understanding of Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) methodologies.

• High proficiency in written and spoken English; strong PC skills; additional language skills are a plus.

• Ability to effectively self-manage and make decisions regarding priorities.

• Capable of working closely with both internal and external customers (in-person or via telephone) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Solid knowledge of SolidWorks.

• Proficient in drawing interpretation in the English language (familiarity with terminology).

• Knowledge of pump components.

• Familiarity with drawing standards: ANSI & ISO.

• Knowledge of drafting standards including AWS & ISO Welding Symbols.

• Familiarity with Flowserve Drafting Procedures.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes.

• Experience with pre-process modeling for CFD & FEA analysis.

• Competence in modeling for casting processes (hydraulic parts).
