This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Responsible for global demand planning and forecast ownership, with direct accountability for US demand planning.
• Oversee and direct the monthly regional demand planning cycle, which includes data preparation, statistical forecasting, and interdepartmental reviews.
• Manage the 24-month forecast horizon for designated regions, business units, or product categories.
• Incorporate market insights such as seasonality, regulatory changes, customer behaviors, and competitive dynamics into demand planning.
• Evaluate forecast accuracy, bias, and variability; implement corrective measures and continuous improvement strategies.
• Maintain demand plans at the SKU, customer, channel, and regional levels in alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Provide essential inputs for inventory management and optimization strategies, aiding in allocation and deployment decisions as necessary.
• Facilitate Business Unit IBP meetings and coordinate reconciliation efforts.
• Communicate demand risks, opportunities, and influencing factors to Supply, Finance, and Executive stakeholders.
• Ensure that demand plans align with revenue targets, inventory strategies, and capacity limitations.
• Assist in scenario planning, demand shaping initiatives, and development of long-range forecasts.
• Serve as a backup for the Sr. Director of Supply Chain when required.
• Act as the subject-matter expert for global, regional, or portfolio-specific demand drivers, including economic trends, product lifecycle changes, and promotional cycles.
• Cultivate strong relationships with regional commercial teams to detect early demand signals.
• Track regional KPI performance, customer trends, and macroeconomic indicators to adjust demand assumptions.
• Utilize CONMED’s demand planning systems (e.g., Smoothie, SAP APO, Power BI, Tableau) to create, validate, and continuously enhance forecasting models.
• Improve data quality and visibility by employing advanced statistical tools and analytics platforms.
• Lead and mentor a team of demand planners or analysts, promoting strong analytical skills and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Executive teams to ensure alignment of demand strategy with corporate objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, IBP/S&OP, or supply chain management; experience in a global or complex environment is preferred.
• Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Analytics is preferred.
• Experience in medical device, healthcare technology, or regulated manufacturing sectors.
• Strong analytical abilities with proven expertise in statistical modeling and forecasting tools.
• Proficient in planning concepts and visualization systems (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle, Tableau, Power BI).
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
