Senior Demand Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain demand forecasts for all SKUs by leveraging historical data, sales patterns, seasonality, and promotional strategies.

• Spearhead the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between supply chain, marketing, finance, and leadership teams.

• Supervise inventory levels, ingredient lead times, and production schedules to avert stockouts and excessive inventory.

• Collaborate with co-manufacturers to guarantee timely deliveries and identify potential supply risks.

• Develop scenario models and conduct risk assessments to guide purchase order timing and quantities.

• Monitor and analyze COGS on a monthly basis, providing management with relevant updates.

• Convert forecasting insights into actionable supply chain strategies that influence purchase orders and production planning.

• Review and enhance forecasting, inventory optimization, S&OP, and reporting processes.

• Take full ownership of forecasting, inventory oversight, and S&OP for all SKUs with minimal supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain management within a CPG company; 2 years may be accepted for candidates with experience in the pet industry.

• Preference for candidates with a background in the pet food or food industry.

• Experience in startup environments characterized by high volume and rapid pace.

• Proficient in using forecasting tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and ERP systems.

• Comfortable with model building and conducting analyses.

• Familiar with AI tools like Claude and Gemini, and eager to utilize them regularly.

• Proven experience in managing S&OP processes, optimizing inventory, and navigating long-lead-time supply situations with manufacturing partners.

• Possess a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

• Ability to work independently in high-pressure, fast-paced settings while taking full responsibility for results.
