This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and enhance the health, performance, and reputation of HubSpot’s global email sending infrastructure.
• Investigate and address complex deliverability challenges related to authentication, DNS, spam filtering, sender reputation, and MTA infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to enhance product experiences focused on deliverability and operational scalability.
• Work alongside Customer Success, Support, and Deliverability Success teams to assist customers with technical deliverability challenges and best practices.
• Analyze trends in email delivery, operational metrics, and customer behaviors to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
• Employ AI tools and automation platforms to speed up investigations, boost operational efficiency, and refine analytical workflows.
• Take part in an on-call rotation to support deliverability and email sending operations.
• Represent HubSpot within the wider deliverability community through industry groups, conferences, forums, and partnerships.
• Provide thought leadership through documentation, playbooks, postmortems, enablement resources, and educational materials.
• Stay updated on changing industry standards, authentication technologies, anti-spam systems, and global email compliance regulations.
• Extensive experience working with email delivery systems, MTA infrastructure, and large-scale sending operations.
• In-depth understanding of email authentication protocols including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues related to sender reputation, blocklisting, and spam filtering.
• Proficient in SQL and data analysis for monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting purposes.
• Strong understanding of DNS, networking principles, and email infrastructure concepts.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
• Experience with third-party deliverability and reputation platforms like Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, Inbox Monster, Validity, Yahoo Sender Hub, and DMARCian.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex deliverability concepts to customers and internal teams.
• Experience collaborating across functions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-impact operational environments, including being part of on-call rotations.
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and work effectively across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and external industry partners.
