This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Manage the Deal Strategy intake board: evaluate, approve, deny, or direct requests according to established guidelines or triage new requests.
• Assess and facilitate T&C and commercial-agreement redlines with Legal assistance, including the incorporation of pre-approved custom clauses into order forms.
• Address deposit-waiver, payment-term, and payment-method exceptions with Treasury, considering ROI and credit risk.
• Verify order forms for pricing, currency, and billing accuracy prior to finalization.
• Prioritize deals based on monetary impact (MRR), closing date, and risk exposure (credit, legal, compliance).
• Maintain the clause library and pre-approved pricing/terms playbooks to enable representatives to self-manage standard cases.
• Lead cross-functional taskforces for our significant deals and ensure progress on cross-functional blockers.
• Monitor and report on Deal Approval metrics (time-to-decision, percentage of self-serve vs high-touch, rework/reroute rate); leverage this data to suggest adjustments to guardrails.
• Develop and refine guardrail frameworks and exception-handling processes; promote cross-functional adoption.
• Create enablement programs for large deals and competitive positioning topics.
• Ability to independently manage daily deal exceptions in a B2B context — e.g. 2+ years of experience in Deal Desk, RevOps, commercial finance, sales ops, or commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of the legal and financial mechanics of deals — proficient in evaluating T&C/commercial-agreement redlines, deposit waivers, payment-term/method exceptions, and credit risk, while closely collaborating with Legal, Treasury, and FP&A.
• Direct involvement in pricing/discount approvals or handling commercial exceptions.
• Solid commercial judgment — balances growth, margin, credit, legal, and competitive risks to make defensible decisions.
• Exceptional asynchronous, documentation-first communication with global, cross-functional stakeholders.
• [BONUS] Experience using data/AI to uncover deal insights and automate approval processes.
• [BONUS] Familiarity with EOR/global-employment is beneficial but can be trained — we prioritize legal and finance deal expertise.
• [BONUS] Background in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate finance.
• A reliable home internet connection and proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Work from anywhere.
• Paid time off: 40 days off per year (including holidays and vacation), or more if required by your country.
• Mental health support: Access Plumm, our mental well-being service.
• Wellbeing allowance: Each month, receive a wellbeing allowance in your ThanksBen wallet. Spend it on a variety of options; refer to the benefits catalogue for ideas.
• Flexible parental leave: All new parents are entitled to at least three months of paid leave, with job protection for up to 12 months or as required locally.
• WFH stipend: Receive a stipend for your laptop and home office equipment to facilitate a quick setup.
