This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable data platform infrastructure utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, EMR, Redshift, Glue, and more.
• Oversee and enhance internal tools and frameworks for data ingestion and processing, including Airbyte, Debezium, and Airflow.
• Develop and sustain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines for platform components as well as infrastructure-as-code.
• Work in collaboration with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and scalability of the data platform.
• Provide support for version control, release workflows, and automation for notebooks, jobs, and tools utilized by data producers and consumers.
• Maintain high availability and performance of core data infrastructure through observability and alerting integrations.
• Construct and implement design patterns for data architecture.
• Gather requirements with internal clients by structuring tasks effectively.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven track record of constructing big data pipelines and orchestrating data workloads.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services, including EKS, EC2, EMR, and RDS, as well as big data tools like Spark and Redshift.
• Experience with relational databases (preferably Postgres), strong SQL coding capabilities, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD tools.
• Proficiency in automation and workflow management tools, such as Airflow and Sagemaker.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
