This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Architecting, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting various components for the enterprise data warehouse and related data sources.
• Works autonomously while providing support for reporting projects and making process and architectural recommendations.
• Mentors staff, demonstrating best practices, planning for business continuity and sustainability, and engaging in projects that support Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing functions as needed.
• Collaborates with the user community and reporting team to comprehend business data and data transformation needs.
• Transforms those needs into functional and technical specifications for database and integration design.
• Manages requests and components of larger projects, ensuring appropriate documentation and status reporting.
• Designs data integration and transformation processes across on-premise and cloud data sources.
• Provides leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in their area of focus.
• Crafts and develops data integration and transformation processes across on-premises and cloud data sources utilizing enterprise tools such as Informatica, Denodo, SQL Server, SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator, and Boomi AtomSphere, based on environmental needs and requirements.
• Creates data models and database designs leveraging knowledge of data warehouse modeling best practices.
• Collaborates with team members using scrum processes or other project management methodologies, depending on the focus area.
• Adheres to best practices regarding change and code management.
• Produces supporting technical documentation that is well-written, organized, and maintained.
• Engages in ongoing stabilization, support, and maintenance activities.
• Provides on-call support when necessary for business continuity and operations.
• Participates in webinars, reviews case studies and white papers, and seeks opportunities to enhance skills and stay informed on relevant topics.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science, or Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of related experience is necessary.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
• Experience with multiple projects involving Data Warehousing ETL technologies and a comprehensive understanding of Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence lifecycles is required.
• Proficiency with dimensional data models is essential.
• Familiarity with the OMOP data model is preferred.
• Experience in integrating data warehouses with business intelligence metadata tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architecture and enterprise information integration is preferred.
• Experience with the Denodo Virtualization Platform is preferred.
• Familiarity with Informatica IDMC, MDM is preferred.
• Experience using MS SQL Server Tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to actively engage and collaborate with a team is necessary.
• Excellent written communication abilities are a must.
• Capability to convert functional business requirements into documented system requirements and designs is required.
• Understanding of data warehouse and agile software development methodologies is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge and development experience using SQL, Pl/SQL, and UNIX scripting languages with SQL-based databases (Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server) is required.
