Senior Data Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Convert business needs into technical approaches.

• Design and implement solutions on MMA data platforms.

• Create enterprise data architecture and solutions for MMA’s cloud and hybrid data platforms.

• Oversee the design and architecture of enterprise solutions within MMA’s Agency management software, EHB, and CRM domains.

• Develop and sustain solution blueprints for essential platforms, including Agency management systems, GCP, Azure Databricks, Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure SQL.

• Establish and uphold standards for medallion architecture in MMA’s data Lakehouse.

• Create secure and scalable integration patterns and data flows between AMS, HRIS, CRM, Azure Cloud, and development systems.

• Work with the Data Governance Council to align solution architecture.

• Promote the use of metadata management and data lineage practices within Databricks Unity Catalog.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in designing end-to-end ETL/ELT data solutions.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in Azure cloud environment and Databricks.

• Proficient in agile methodologies and large-scale data migrations.

• Experience conducting proof of concept experiments and gathering requirements.

• Ability to create conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support engineering, analytics, and operational use cases.

• Advanced expertise in SQL, data modeling, and contemporary data Lakehouse technologies.

• Practical experience with Delta Lake features such as Change Data Capture, ACID transactions, optimization, and schema drifting/evolution.

• Knowledge of compliance, quality, and security frameworks relevant to healthcare and insurance.

• Comprehensive understanding of data structures (both structured and unstructured), data types, formats, and proficiency in high-performance data storage within data lakes.
