This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +2 more countries.
• Spearhead the design and execution of data science projects, establishing methodologies, technical strategies, and best practices across various initiatives.
• Create, assess, and enhance statistical and machine learning models to address intricate business challenges and yield actionable insights.
• Manage the entire data science lifecycle, encompassing data exploration, feature engineering, model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement.
• Develop and deploy scalable data science and machine learning solutions utilizing AWS cloud services and established best practices.
• Offer technical support and guidance to Data Scientists and other technical team members.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, data engineers, and software engineers to convert business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Track model performance to ensure that solutions remain precise, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
• Contribute to data science strategies, analytical frameworks, and best practices that foster long-term business growth.
• Mentor team members, perform technical reviews, and encourage knowledge sharing.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical initiatives or teams.
• Extensive hands-on experience with statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics, experimentation, and data-driven problem solving.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with data science and machine learning libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Strong grasp of supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, feature engineering, optimization, and production machine learning practices.
• Solid hands-on experience in designing or implementing data science and machine learning solutions within AWS environments.
• Proficient SQL skills and experience in handling large datasets, data warehouses, and complex data environments.
• Capacity to lead technical discussions, make architectural and modeling decisions, mentor professionals, and drive projects from concept through to production.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Preferred experience with AWS SageMaker, S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, or Athena; production ML deployment and monitoring; MLOps; Spark; Docker; Kubernetes; Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, or NLP; AWS certifications; or experience in financial services/data-intensive sectors.
