This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and integrate AWS data, analytics, AI, and machine learning services into client applications and mission systems.
• Evaluate and document client database schemas, data flows, and data architectures to discover AI/ML integration and automation possibilities.
• Construct analytics and reporting dashboards utilizing Amazon QuickSight.
• Utilize Amazon Bedrock to develop, integrate, and deploy LLM capabilities and generative AI solutions.
• Design, develop, and enhance ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS Glue and associated cloud services.
• Implement Amazon Macie and other AWS security features to identify and safeguard PII and sensitive data.
• Employ Amazon SageMaker to prepare, transform, and manage data for analytics and machine learning workflows.
• Enforce CUI handling requirements, data protection measures, and relevant security controls.
• Apply best practices in data engineering, software development, and cloud architecture to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
• Assist with technical activities throughout the program and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, innovation, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate technical risks, create solution alternatives, and convey architectural decisions and recommendations to program and client leadership.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, system architects, cybersecurity experts, and mission stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of pertinent experience; or a Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience; or a Doctorate with 3 years of relevant experience; or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required to secure a security clearance.
• Degree or professional experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• Practical experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud-based data platforms and solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services, especially data, analytics, AI, and machine learning services.
• Programming skills in Python, SQL, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Experience with database schema design, data modeling, and software engineering best practices.
• Ability to self-learn new technologies, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and develop effective solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical documentation, and communication abilities.
• Preferred: Experience with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Glue, QuickSight, and Macie.
• Preferred: Experience in developing or integrating generative AI and LLM-based applications.
• Preferred: Experience working with DoD, federal, or other highly regulated environments.
• Preferred: Knowledge of CUI, NIST, RMF, and cloud security regulations.
• Preferred: Experience designing secure, highly available, and scalable AWS architectures.
• Preferred: AWS certifications such as AI Practitioner, Solutions Architect, Developer, Data Engineer, Machine Learning, or Generative AI Developer.
