Senior Data Scientist – Credit Risk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement statistical models tailored for all areas of Bip Brasil's operations, encompassing initial data processing and the technical documentation of solutions.

• Construct predictive and machine learning models.

• Create analytics and business intelligence solutions aimed at optimizing customer experience and delivering top-notch results.

• Collaborate closely with the business consulting team to identify challenges and explore potential solutions.

• Employ diverse statistical methodologies and programming languages to tackle various business problems.

• Suggest innovative techniques and technologies to enhance data science methodologies and add value for users and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in any field is acceptable.

• Prior experience in statistical modeling is required.

• Familiarity with the modeling process, including coding for database manipulation, variable selection, treatment, and analysis, alongside collaboration with business teams.

• Expertise in SAS, R, or Python, including the development of macros and functions.

• Excellent logical reasoning abilities.

• A curious and inquisitive nature.

• An entrepreneurial mindset, eager to tackle business challenges and thrive in a consulting atmosphere.

• Experience with credit risk models, including scorecards, probability of default (PD), exposure at default (EAD), and loss given default (LGD).

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages is a plus.

• Experience with business intelligence software is advantageous.

• Familiarity with projects utilizing AWS, GCP, or Microsoft technologies is desirable.

• Prior experience in an Agile work environment is preferred.
