Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement statistical modeling and analysis based on specifications derived from business problems.

• Lead experimentation initiatives and A/B testing to rigorously assess business hypotheses and guide decision-making processes.

• Conduct ad hoc and in-depth analytics to respond to business inquiries, reveal insights, and identify impactful opportunities.

• Analyze intricate, unprocessed datasets with a high degree of analytical precision and clarity.

• Establish KPIs, reporting workflows, dashboards, and data visualizations to evaluate outcomes and support strategic business decisions.

• Transform analytical findings into easily understandable insights through interactive dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) or tailored web applications.

• Clearly communicate technical concepts, findings, and data-driven recommendations to non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and convert them into analyses, experiments, and actionable insights.

• Collect stakeholder requirements, perform technical due diligence, and devise practical, high-impact analytical solutions.

• Operate independently throughout the complete analytics lifecycle, from problem identification and analysis design to insight delivery.

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on priorities, methodologies, and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced/Fluent English proficiency.

• Demonstrated industry experience in developing predictive or inferential statistical models OR possess a Master’s/PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Over 4 years of experience in data science, data engineering, or analytical roles.

• Strong expertise in SQL and Python, with the capability to interact with each component in the complete pipeline, from data ingestion to insight generation.

• Experience with Azure Cloud technologies, including Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, and Functions.

• Practical experience in Data Analysis.

• Hands-on experience with Experimentation and A/B Testing.

• Familiarity with Data Visualization tools.

• Ability to work with significant autonomy, managing analyses from start to finish.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging directly with stakeholders and translating business needs into analytical tasks.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and consulting (preferred).

• Experience with Generative AI (desirable).

• Familiarity with LangChain / LangGraph (desirable).

• Experience with AI-driven dashboarding (desirable).

• Previous experience with Metabase (desirable).

• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools (desirable).
