Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, assess, and implement machine learning models for risk assessment, threat intelligence, and vendor evaluation.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies within extensive and intricate datasets.

• Assess and validate models for precision, durability, and scalability.

• Work collaboratively with product managers and engineers to establish data science requirements and incorporate models into operational systems.

• Participate in code reviews, design conversations, and promote data science best practices.

• Remain informed on the latest research and technologies, applying cutting-edge methods.

• Present findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience in applying data science to complex issues.

• Over 5 years of experience utilizing data science and machine learning to solve real-world problems.

• Expertise in Python and machine learning/data science frameworks including scikit-learn, XGBoost, MLFlow, and PyTorch.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data pipelines, such as AWS or GCP.

• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, evaluation metrics, and model deployment processes.

• Previous experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or risk scoring is highly advantageous.

• Prior experience with and interest in large language models (LLMs) is a plus.

• Working knowledge of Scala is beneficial.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
