This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, implement, and sustain production systems that support Northbeam's measurement offerings.
• Convert statistical and causal inference techniques into scalable and dependable customer-facing functionalities.
• Enhance the precision, coverage, dependability, and operational stability of our measurement systems.
• Troubleshoot data, modeling, and production challenges across the entire stack, from source data to customer-facing results.
• Assess methodological enhancements pragmatically, considering statistical integrity, implementation complexity, maintainability, and business impact.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to elevate measurement quality and product features.
• Articulate statistical concepts to clients, resolve measurement challenges, and collect feedback to refine Northbeam's offerings.
• Bachelor's degree (MS or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another highly quantitative discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in building and deploying data science, machine learning, or AI systems within production settings.
• Solid grounding in statistics, machine learning, experimentation, and causal inference, along with experience applying these techniques to address real-world business challenges.
• Proficient coding and debugging abilities, with a knack for writing production-quality code that is maintainable, testable, and reliable.
• Experience in implementing, deploying, and maintaining statistical or machine learning systems in production environments.
• Capability to debug issues throughout the entire stack, including source data, data pipelines, model logic, production services, and client-facing outputs.
• Proven experience managing projects from start to finish, from problem definition and methodology assessment to production deployment and operational support.
• Comfortable in a dynamic startup environment and capable of driving projects from concept to production with significant autonomy.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a readiness to learn new domains, technologies, and measurement methodologies.
