This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and sustain predictive models that inform marketing strategies, such as player LTV, churn risk, CAC payback, and propensity-to-convert models.
• Take ownership of marketing attribution and incrementality analysis across various paid channels (Meta, Google, TikTok, affiliates, influencers, etc.), assisting the team in understanding the true drivers of growth.
• Measure the causal impact and long-term business value of promotions, bonuses, and lifecycle campaigns, going beyond basic engagement metrics to assess genuine incremental retention, monetization, and LTV effects.
• Utilize causal inference methods (geo experiments, synthetic control, diff-in-diff, CausalImpact, uplift modeling) to analyze marketing investments when clean A/B tests are not feasible.
• Collaborate with growth marketers to design, execute, and interpret experiments: A/B tests, geo-tests, holdout studies, and creative tests.
• Create and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting tools that provide marketing leaders with real-time insights into channel performance, cohort behaviors, promotional ROI, and funnel health.
• Cleanse, structure, and validate data across our marketing ecosystem (ad platforms, MMP, internal event data, CRM) and work with data engineering to enhance our data models as necessary.
• Convert complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Persistently seek opportunities to automate, enhance, and scale the marketing team's data utilization.
• Over 5 years of experience as a data scientist, marketing analyst, or growth analyst, preferably in a consumer app, gaming, fintech, or subscription business environment.
• Proficient in SQL and comfortable handling large, complex behavioral datasets.
• Practical experience in building predictive models using Python (LTV, churn, propensity, segmentation, etc.) with libraries like scikit-learn, XGBoost, or similar.
• Familiar with assessing the long-term and incremental effects of marketing and promotional expenditures: you grasp the distinction between *who responded* and *who was genuinely influenced*.
• Knowledgeable in causal inference techniques (diff-in-diff, synthetic control, CausalImpact, uplift modeling, propensity scoring) and their appropriate applications.
• Strong understanding of marketing measurement concepts: attribution (MTA, MMM basics), incrementality, holdouts, cohort analysis, and unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback).
• Experienced in experimentation: designing tests, determining their scale, and analyzing results with statistical rigor.
• Proficient in at least one BI/visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Mode, Sigma, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills: capable of explaining a model to a marketer and campaign results to a CFO with equal clarity.
• A proactive approach: preferring to deliver a practical 80% solution this week rather than a flawless one next quarter.
• Competitive compensation package, including base salary, benefits, and equity.
• Unlimited/Flexible paid time off.
• Health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with generous parental leave.
• Employee-sponsored 401(k).
• $500 work-from-home stipend + Equipment & Accessories.
• Work Remotely.
• Opportunity for professional development in a dynamic, global environment.
• A supportive, collaborative, and knowledge-driven workplace. An engaging and challenging role with the freedom to innovate and create effective solutions.
