Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform exploratory analyses on substantial amounts of transactional and behavioral data to identify actionable insights and business opportunities.

• Develop and implement machine learning and deep learning models that address real-world challenges, including fraud detection, recommendation systems, credit risk analysis, purchase propensity, and churn prediction, among others.

• Test hypotheses through controlled experiments utilizing A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis.

• Work collaboratively with Product Owners and engineers to convert business challenges into effective, scalable analytical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Machine Learning: experience with deploying machine learning models in production environments, along with an understanding of the complexities involved in building scalable solutions for real-world applications.

• Programming: expertise in Python, with proficiency in libraries such as pandas, numpy, and matplotlib; familiarity with SQL for managing large datasets.

• Statistics: solid grounding in descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and probability concepts, including A/B experimentation methodologies.

• Data Mining: capability to investigate and derive insights from intricate datasets, recognizing patterns and anomalies, and working with structured and semi-structured data from various sources.

• Data Storytelling: skill in conveying technical results and insights through concise presentations and effective visualizations for varied audiences, transforming complex findings into actionable recommendations.

• Preferred: knowledge of Spark for distributed processing.

• Experience with deep learning frameworks and deploying models to production (MLOps).
