Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients from various industries to define and co-develop production-level data science initiatives.

• Assist users in exploring and mastering the Dataiku platform through user training sessions, office hours, and continuous consultative support.

• Offer strategic insights to customer and account teams aimed at ensuring client success.

• Provide data science knowledge both to clients and internally for Dataiku’s sales and marketing departments.

• Manage technical data science projects by overseeing pre-sales scoping and creating attractive proposals.

• Identify both technical and non-technical risks associated with accounts, including onboarding challenges, performance issues, and delays in timelines.

• Create custom Python-based "plugins" in partnership with Solutions, R&D, and Product teams to extend Dataiku’s capabilities.

• Oversee Data Scientist engagements: coordinate agile sprints, prioritize tasks, estimate workloads, and conduct backlog grooming.

• Participate in demo booths and tech talks at company public events (e.g., Everyday AI).

• Conduct technical interviews for Junior Data Scientist candidates.

• Contribute to two internal assets each year (such as best practice documentation or external blog posts/projects featured in the public gallery).

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience with Python and SQL.

• Over 5 years of experience in building machine learning models and utilizing machine learning tools (e.g., sklearn).

• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs).

• Experience in data visualization and developing web applications using Python frameworks (e.g., Dash, Streamlit).

• Knowledge of fundamental data systems, including cloud architectures and SQL.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Must reside within the CST, MST, or PST time zones.
