Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement business-oriented Data Science initiatives

• Engage in forecasting and establish service-level objectives

• Construct and manage extensive data pipelines

• Enhance code efficiency and create allocation/optimization algorithms

• Develop simulations for multi-echelon inventory systems

• Build solutions utilizing Streamlit/Plotly while supporting infrastructure, Terraform, and CI/CD

• Provide technical leadership on projects or mentor fellow data scientists

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline

• Strong background in Data Science with practical business applications

• Proficient in Python, including advanced skills in NumPy and Pandas; familiarity with Polars is advantageous

• Understanding of statistics and probability as applied to forecasting and service-level analysis

• Experience with PySpark and managing large-scale data processing pipelines

• Familiarity with AWS services, particularly Glue and S3

• Proven track record in performance optimization within Python, including Numba JIT, as well as allocation/optimization algorithms

• Experience in simulating multi-echelon inventory systems

• Knowledge of Streamlit/Plotly, Terraform, and CI/CD methodologies

• Experience with AWS Step Functions

• Background in technically leading projects or mentoring other data scientists
