Senior Data Product Owner

Posted 8 hours ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product backlog, enhancing features in line with business priorities, customer requirements, and technical feasibility.

• Convert customer needs into well-defined problems, articulated as user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria with a clear focus on value.

• Implement rigorous value slicing — deliver features in small, impactful increments to facilitate early feedback and minimize rework.

• Ensure predictable delivery and maintain a transparent roadmap, confirming alignment between sprint outputs and roadmap commitments.

• Develop and verify financial data models, ensuring that figures (e.g., allocations, pricing, usage metrics) are accurate, consistent, and actionable.

• Engage in hands-on configuration of automation/integration tools (e.g., Make, n8n, Zapier) to prototype and test data workflows; adeptly read and interpret API specifications to assess feasibility.

• Act as a strong customer advocate and business user representative: Gain a deep understanding of "Jobs To Be Done" in contract management, pricing, usage, and allocations.

• Showcase and validate product functionalities as a business user would, ensuring they address real-world issues.

• Facilitate customer workshops, proof-of-concepts, and pilot programs to gather early feedback.

• Provide stakeholders with evidence that delivered capabilities serve business purposes effectively, beyond mere technical completion.

• Establish and monitor KPIs and success metrics for features and releases (e.g., adoption, usage, savings achieved, customer satisfaction).

• Communicate performance results to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring visibility on outcomes, risks, and trade-offs.

• Rigorously manage scope to ensure timely delivery and avoid feature creep.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in SaaS/B2B settings, preferably with finance-related products that involve data modeling, contracts, pricing, and usage.

• Proven experience in ensuring financial figures are accurately modeled and deliver business value; comfortable with data quality and analytics.

• Proficient in reading/interpreting REST API documentation and configuring basic automation/integration workflows (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier, Workato).

• Skilled in gathering and prioritizing requirements, writing acceptance criteria, and validating against actual customer outcomes in data-intensive environments.

• Demonstrated experience in agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) with a focus on predictable, feedback-oriented results.

• Bonus: Experience in FinOps, ITAM, SaaS financial management, or ERP/accounting integrations (e.g., NetSuite).

🏝️ Benefits

• The chance to innovate on a new growth product.

• A collaborative and forward-thinking product culture.

• Exposure to enterprise SaaS ecosystems and workflow automation platforms.

• Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
