Senior Data Privacy & Risk Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement innovative strategies to establish and manage Engine’s enterprise data privacy, AI governance, and risk management functions, ensuring that Engine remains proactive in navigating the regulatory landscape.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Security, Product, and Finance to discover new opportunities and provide seamless, legally compliant experiences for our customers.

• Oversee the creation and execution of automated workflows (including CCPA/CPRA compliance) and structured frameworks (such as AI governance and tiered vendor risk programs) to improve efficiency, scalability, and corporate compliance.

• Deliver outstanding support and insights to our clients and internal partners, ensuring that every risk assessment and incident response engagement with Engine surpasses expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of direct experience in privacy law, whether in-house or at a firm known for its privacy practice, supported by a J.D. and an active bar admission in good standing.

• You are a problem-solver with extensive knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, US state privacy law frameworks, and FTC Section 5 standards, thriving in dynamic, innovative settings.

• Additional preference for candidates fluent in OneTrust or similar privacy management platforms.

• You are prepared to engage proactively, collaborate across the organization, safeguard significant findings through structural privilege, and produce impactful results.
