This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and execute Medallion Architecture, dimensional models (Star/Snowflake schemas), and metadata-driven modeling strategies for enterprise data warehouses.
• Create canonical and semantic data models utilizing effective Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) handling techniques to meet business requirements and analytical objectives.
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries in Snowflake (or similar platforms) to guarantee efficient data processing and enhance warehouse performance.
• Ensure alignment of data models with ELT/ETL pipelines and analytics frameworks to develop scalable data structures that adapt to business growth.
• Design and construct code and data pipelines for ingestion from relational databases (such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Aurora), file shares, and web services, including streaming ingestion with Kinesis Streams, Kinesis Firehose, Kinesis Analytics, and Kafka (MSK).
• Establish a Data Lake on AWS S3, focusing on optimal performance through data partitioning and compression.
• Engage in Data Engineering and Analytics utilizing AWS Glue, Informatica, EMR, Spark, Athena, and Python.
• Model data and build a Data Warehouse using Snowflake.
• Contribute to requirements definition, system architecture design, and data architecture design.
• Take part in all phases of the software life cycle employing Agile development methodologies.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with data modeling tools such as sqlDBM, ERWIN, and Lucid.
• At least 7 years of experience in Enterprise Information Solution Architecture, Design, and Development.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience with integration architectures including SOA, Microservices, ETL, or other integration technologies.
• At least 7 years of experience with content or knowledge management systems, search engines, relational databases, NoSQL databases, ETL tools, geospatial systems, or semantic technologies.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Kinesis, Lambda, Athena, Glue, EMR).
• At least 5 years of experience with analytics tools such as SAS, R, Python, and other advanced statistical software.
• Experience with JSON or XML data modeling is essential.
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub, branching, and modern source code management practices is required.
• Domain knowledge of NoSQL or relational databases is necessary.
• Understanding database architecture and performance implications is required.
• Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong capability to collaborate as part of an Agile team.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Python, JavaScript, and Java.
