Senior Data Migration Engineer, PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Carry out data migrations for new clients, which includes extracting data from legacy systems and transforming it to align with our platform’s specifications.

• Work closely with customers and the onboarding team to grasp the data format requirements.

• Manage various types of data such as patient records, appointments, billing information, documents, and medical images.

• Utilize and enhance our existing internal tools to execute and monitor migrations.

• Streamline and automate the data migration process for improved scalability and reliability.

• Occasionally conduct semi-manual data migration steps when automation isn't practical.

• Create documentation for tools and procedures, and assist in developing standardized practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience with PHP (preferably using Symfony or Laravel).

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

• Experience working with structured data formats, including CSV, XML, JSON, etc.

• Ability to reverse-engineer unfamiliar data structures and adapt to diverse input formats.

• Comfort in a small, agile team environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English.

• Nice to have:

• Experience in building ETL pipelines.

• Proven history of developing or significantly enhancing internal tools and processes.

• Experience with hardware integrations.
